Brady and Thomas decided it would be fun to play in rain tonight. He enjoyed it, but apparently it made him sleepy! He went straight to bed after he dried off!!
Thomas and I took Brady to the zoo today! He loved, loved, loved it! He saw almost all of the animals. (except for the snakes and frogs) He imitated many animal names, told the animals hi and bye, and even fed the animals that weren't on a special diet. He loved the elephants and apes and even hand fed the goat on his own. He wanted to stay and play with the goats, but Thomas and I were running out of steam. (we both carried him around the zoo when he didn't walk) All and all we had a great time and were so excited that Brady actually enjoyed all of the sights! Here are some picks from the day.
Not much went on this weekend other than a couple cookouts and dodging rain storms. Brady enjoyed playing with friends, kissing puppies and swimming over the holiday weekend. It's amazing how fast he is growing.
He is starting to talk a lot more. I was worried about him a month or two ago, but once we cracked down and made sure he was using words or signs to request things he started babbling away. He now says "thank you" when you give him things, everything is "hot" even if its cold, he says school, car, help, and many other things! He also love to tell people night night before he goes to bed and then blows a big kiss!!! Here are a few pics from this weekend. We went to our friends Stacey and Chris' for a cookout on Sunday and then had our friends Mandy and Tommy over to our house on Monday for a small cookout and swimming in the backyard with Kaylee.
These are Brady's school pictures from Pelham Road. I didn't know he was having them taken since it was his first day of school, but they turned out ok and it was comforting to know that he wasn't so upset on the first day of school!
We just got sod in our backyard! It looks great, but we now need to clean up the flower beds and put down new mulch. While Thomas and I worked in the yard, Brady had a blast playing with the hose!
I hated to do it, but I needed to! Brady little curls were finally too long! I could put them in a ponytail!!!! NOT GOOD! So this weekend my mom and I took him to get his hair cut. I was worried that he would freak out, but he did very well. My best friend from high school, Nicole, cut his hair and highlight mine all in the same appointment. She did an awesome job! Brady didn't shed a tear, she even used the clippers around his ear. We did give him a lollipop to keep him occupied.
Thomas and I were both off of work the first week in April. We went to Garden City. At the beginning of the week we were there with my mom and at the end of the week my dad, step mother and grandparents joined us. We had a great time, eventhough it was a little windy and chilly some days.
On Friday when I picked Brady up from school he felt really hot. I took him home and he had a fever of 102.5!!! So we got back in the car and went straight to the doctor. He assured me after blood work and a full exam that it was just a cold so we went home and waited it out. After 4 days of a fairly high fever and a sad little baby I decided to take him back to the doctor and he ended up having and ear infection in both ears. GO FIGURE! Needless to say its been fun getting readjusted to daycare this week after missing two days!
Last week Brady started a new daycare. I felt it was time for him to get more interaction with kids his age and I also thought it would be good for him to have more structure throughout the day. It has been a hard couple of days. I didn't get many pictures because he cried. Being a teacher myself, I know, the best thing to do is just drop them off and leave, even if they are crying. So, that is what I have done! Sorry to all the parents that I have ever told just go... It's a lot harder to do than I thought!!
So we have been busy and sick lately and I have been horrible at posting... So lets go back to the snow day.... I know that was so long ago! Here are a few pics of the snow at our house.
As you can see, we were not prepared to dress Brady for the snow... He enjoyed walking around for a few minutes, but had much more fun riding in the wagon. He feet got wet pretty quickly so we didn't stay out for long. We got about 3-4 inches of snow at our house!!!
Brady is growing so fast! He is starting to act so much like a little boy! He loves to be outside, plays games with us, responds to things we say to him, and does so many things for himself. He runs around with the big kids at daycare, and loves it! Here are a few videos and some pics of him at daycare yesterday! Thanks Sherry for all of the memories!
We are the Greens, Thomas, Candace, Brady and Abbe (the dog). We live in Greer, SC and love it! We enjoy spending time with our friends and family. We spend a lot of time outdoors whether in the yard or at the beach. Our love for life grows everyday as we watch Brady grow!!!!
